Vernal pool talk on April 14

Posted April 9th, 2015 in Event by Charles Radville

Vernal  pools are usually temporary pools that fill with snowmelt and spring run-off, and then dry sometime during the summer.
Take a look at some of the animals, such as wood frogs, spotted and blue spotted salamanders, and fairy shrimp that rely on vernal pools to survive during a slide show to be hosted by the Mattapoisett Land Trust at the Mattapoisett Library on Tuesday, April 14th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

MLT founders honored at Munro Preserve

Posted May 12th, 2014 in Event by Charles Radville

On May 10, 2014 we gathered at the waterfront Munro Preserve to unveil a plaque honoring the original directors and officers of the Mattapoisett Land Trust. We were fortunate to have several of the founding members attending the dedication. Without their determination and hard work, preservation of open space in Mattapoisett got a strong start. Thank you all for giving us the organization that has grown over the past forty years.founders 5 10 2014a MLT founders honored at Munro Preserve
